The Momiji Bowlathon is one of our biggest fundraisers, and plays a vital role in funding the programs and services Momiji offers. There are so many ways to participate! 🎳 Join as a bowler! Assemble a team of 4 to 5, and register before May 10th to bowl in Momiji’s Bowlathon! You can sign up to bowl 5-pin or 10-pin, then retire to Momiji in the evening for a delicious bento dinner. 💸 Sponsor a team as an individual! Is a friend or family member bowling? Make sure to pledge money to support their team and Momiji! Teams and individual bowlers can collect money differently, so ask how they prefer to accept your sponsorship. 💰 Sponsor your own team as a corporation/business! Are you a corporate entity looking to support a worthwhile cause, and engage in a little team building? By donating $1,000 or more to Momiji’s Bowlathon, you can enter your own team of 4 or 5 to play against the Momiji CEO team! All corporate sponsors will be recognized on our website and in-person on Sponsor Boards. If you want to support the Bowlathon as a corporation but don’t have any bowlers on hand, become an Event Donor instead! 🎁 Donate prizes to liven up the event! We are looking for NEW items only to be used as prizes for bowlers and teams who raise the most money with sponsorships. Your business will be recognized as a Prize Donor! Momiji’s Community Bazaar is one of our oldest and most beloved fundraising events, predating even the Momiji Senior’s Residence building! Some of you know exactly what to expect at our Bazaar, but if you’ve never been, here’s an idea: 🌭 Delicious food! Volunteers work for days preparing food for Bazaar customers, and it’s always worth it. Longtime Bazaar attendees all know to head for the food as soon as the doors open at noon! From sushi and chow mein to manju and baked goods, and even a BBQ outside! 🛍 Amazing deals! Starting in May, Momiji begins accepting donations of lightly used goods from the community. Volunteers carefully sort these donations into their appropriate department, price them, and set them out the morning of the event. There are so many quality second-hand items at great prices: art, books, clothing, jewellery, plants, pink elephant, white elephant, games and toys, and a Japonica Pop-Up! 🍁 A thriving community! Come connect with new friends at Momiji, or catch up with old friends you haven’t seen in a while. Bring your family, even if you see them every day! Our community at Momiji is always growing, and everyone is welcome. Come discover this wonderful space nestled in Scarborough, and support our senior’s programming by shopping until you drop!
