Momiji Strategic Plan 2026-2030

  • Enhance senior-centred care and services.
  • Grow awareness and engagement.
  • Build a more resilient Momiji for the future.

2026 Fundraising Calendar

Join us at Momiji in 2026 for an amazing year of Fundraising Events! These events help Momiji build community, as well as raise much-needed funds for programming and services.

Some changes to our usual fundraising calendar are coming in 2026. Two of our most popular events are moving to a different time of year—Bazaar in the fall, and Japonica in the spring!

This means we’ll be saying goodbye to a few events too, specifically Yard Sale and Spring Market. With a couple fewer events, staff and volunteers can dedicate more of their time and energy to making the remaining events even better!

Momiji extends a huge thank you to all volunteers, staff, and community members that have contributed to our fundraising efforts in 2025. Each person played a part in supporting Momiji’s vital work of enriching seniors’ lives.

See you at Momiji in 2026!

Momo Anime Market at Momiji – Saturday, March 28th & Sunday, March 29th, 2026

For a whole weekend in March, Momiji will be transformed into a fandom utopia! Vendors and activities will fill the building with fun! Young or old, casual or hardcore fan, all are welcome to come connect with new friends. Buy your ticket online starting in February, or at the door!

Japonica – Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, 2026

In 2026, Japonica is moving from the fall to the spring! What isn’t changing is the quality that people have come to expect from Japonica. There is no better event for vintage, second-hand Japanese goods. Many of these pieces were treasured belongings of community members, then generously donated to Momiji to be sold and treasured once more.

Momiji Bowl-a-thon – Saturday, June 20th, 2026

If bowling is more your style, join us at Momiji’s 18th Annual Bowl-a-thon in June! Assemble a bowling team or join as an individual, and help raise money for Momiji through team sponsorships. Even non-bowlers can participate by sponsoring a team! Look out for more information on the 2026 Bowl-a-thon coming soon!

Our oldest fundraising event is changing seasons, but you’ll find the same amazing deals on quality second-hand items at our Community Bazaar! Everything from clothes to housewares to books, carefully sorted by volunteers, and priced very reasonably. And don’t forget the food—delicious Japanese cuisine and baked goods, all prepared by the community!

Momiji Holiday Market – Saturday, November 28th, 2026

Just in time for gift-giving season, our Holiday Market returns for its fourth year! This November, Momiji will be full of holiday cheer and vendors selling all kinds of arts and crafts, plus plenty of delicious treats!
