Hosted by the Toronto Japanese Garden Club (TJGC), the Star Sapphire Festival celebrates the 45th anniversary of their Nature’s Beauty Show. In addition to the usual show offerings, they will transform Momiji into a lively Japanese festival packed entertainment, including Storyteller Rui Umezawa, Isshin Daiko taiko drummers and ten ten shamisen and a delicious array of Japanese food. Fun for the whole family! Inspired by the sapphire, which is the 45th anniversary gemstone, the date also coincides with Tanabata, known as the Star Festival (held on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month). View the stunning ikebana and bonsai displays, make a wish at the Tanabata wishing tree, or shop in the marketplace! Admission is $5 per person but is free to Momiji residents and children under 12.
